    Fire Emblem: Awakening

    • I would recommend this to Newcomers who wish to test the perma-death mechanic out and Novice Fire Emblem players
    • The characters are well realized, and though I haven't tried the traditional perma-death
    • This game was really good, though perma death meant I restarted fights a LOT
    • It even has an "easy" mode for players that don't like perma-death and doesn't force you to move along the story when your not even ready
    • I don't necessarily *approve* of the addition of casual mode, since perma-death is a pretty significant part of fire emblem as a whole (and important in that it ensures that you are more heavily invested in the characters)
    • To start off, there is the choice between Casual and Classic mode; Casual mode eliminates perma-death from your troops while Classic retains it
    • I get too stressed when I have to worry about perma-death and fail to enjoy the experience in those
    • If you think the game should have perma-death, you can still restart the level any time someone dies, but if you get *reallllly* stuck you still have the option of letting some characters die without playing the whole damn level over
    • This time, you can turn off perma-death and just play it like any other JRPG
    • From the stress of the perma-death to the satisfaction of absolutely obliterating a tough enemy
    • Its a turn based strategy game with no perma death.- A lot of characters can unite and help each other out or perform better together the longer they are used.- An interesting assortment of characters to choose
    • If you realize you are over-leveled or that turning on perma-death was a mistake, you are screwed*The AI relies too heavily on killing your weakest unit to make you restart the level in frustration (assuming you have perma-death
    • Even to new comers to the genre I recommend playing on easy with perma death on
    • It's cool that you can turn perma-deaths
    • With this game i was surprised to find out that this game not only has a casual mode where characters dont die , as well as a Clasic Mode for those who enjoyed the "perma" death
    • FE has always had was perma-death, though you can turn that off in this iteration
    • Unless you're a first timer and casual gamer, leave perma-death on
    • That story is fun of life and really make you care about the characters and with the games perma-death(when character dies they say dead
    • Of course, long-time fans will enjoy engrossing themselves in the story, characters, supports, and tactics (all the while worrying about the prospects of perma-death), and the new-comers will be allowed to ease themselves into the game with the new "casual" mode which allows your characters to resurrect after falling in the battlefield
    • This is a great addition for newcomers and FE Vets who just don't want to deal with perma-death
    • Three difficulty settings at the start, plus being able to turn perma-death on or off, and the freedom to grind in unlimited side missions as much as you need if you get stuck.*A plethora of items and characters to unlock and level up, and that's even before you get into the unfathomable amount of (free and paid
    • you are a very, very hardcore player, I would recommend turning perma-death off (i.e. using "casual" mode instead of "classic" mode)
    • If you want a challenge play it on the harder mode, but be careful because death is perma-death
    • * Because perma-death is optional you get the feeling while playing that the experience isn't tailored to it being optional
    • The threat of perma-death makes you really think about your strategies and adds plenty of tension
    • For example you can have your avatar marry somebody like Panne the Taguel or Tharja a dark mage and experience different dialogue as well as in combat stat gains when fighting together
    • There's Frederick who's the Prince's knight and so fastidious and particular as to remove every rock from the path prior to the army's march, or to watch someone bathe in order to be sure they don't catch a chill.
    • A so great because honestly, everything about the game is of the highest caliber
    • Sometimes it is important to take progress slow and grind a
    • The game is as beautiful as it can be on that small a screen, and the 3d actually works and has a real difference.
    • Having played only one other previous FE game (Sacred Stones), I do not have a complete knowledge over the differences between this game and it's numerous other predecessors, however I can say that while I enjoy the thrill of the classic mode, the addition of the casual mode was in my case welcome as it truly allowed me to explore my characters in depth
    • Great game with good 3-D graphics
    • mutiplayer could have been much better but over all a solid ds game
    • This is no cheap layered 3-D, but actual depth that really impressed
    • Having never played any previous Fire Emblem games, I was not entirely sure what to expect, but I find this to be the best D&D-style video game I've ever played.
    • I even brought my ds to school just to play this game but parents don't worry it is possible to stop playing, it's just an amazing
    • The 3-D is not essential to the gameplay, but it definitely enhances the overall experience by leaps and bounds
