The charging port is now loose and you have to wiggle the power cord to get it to show that it is charging

SIL had an older laptop showing its age and Mom had a Samsung tablet whose charging port had become loose and unable to consistently charge the tablet.

The problem was the charging port.

Barely charge it for that matter, which is another big reason that a charging port that you have to cleverly position the cable to get it to charge is absurd

It is pretty easy to operate, however a bit more limited and restrictive as it is tied to the Amazon App store.
