This is a firm and sturdy mat (but pretty lightweight) -- my chair glides back and forth easily and maintains structural stability everywhere.

Have only had it a week or two, so don't now how long it will last, but will certainly outlast the cheaper, cracked mat that this one replaced.

DO order this product without hesitation if the size is what you are looking for, and in the unlikely event (Amazon seems to have straightened this out) you get a box other than a big flat box (i.e., a smaller box with the wrong mat rolled up inside) refuse it and send it back.
