Fiskars 174240-1001 Large Circle Squeeze Punch, 1.5 Inch, White

    • It jams ever second cut and broke before I even got it out of the package (the flimsy plastic handle)
    • Though I was already worried about the durabilty of the tool, due to the very flexible and weak plastic handles, I appreciated that the punch itself was at least made out of cast iron
    • The first one we had broke in the handle due to faulty flimsy plastic handle insert construction
    • I had to gently force it closed without breaking the cheap plastic handles, and now it works again but does not exude confidence
    • I tried to carefully add force to get it to clamp and punch, but there must be something that gets the blades out of alignment and unable to close--the result is rather than clamp shut and punch, the cheap plastic handles break in two.
    • Too bad it's cheap plastic though so any advantages are lost once it breaks
    • I opened it up and realized that the mechanism transforming the rotational movement of the handles into the translational movement of the puncher uses thin plastic guiders that broke due to the "intense" usage of 40 punches
    • Neither were as great as I was hoping
