Compared to the previous filter I used, this filter is definitely less effective, with nearly half as many pleats and therefore reduced material and likely either reduced airflow (if it traps as small of particles) or reduced efficacy (if it maintains identical airflow)

but it severely restricted airflow

Now the airflow is much better and the "funky smell" is gone!

Caused vent system to make a low squealing sound, and noticeable less airflow in my 2017 Toyota Sienna.

Although it does have activated charcoal with its particulate media to filter out unwanted debris and gasses, it restricts airflow too much for the HVAC system to operate efficiently
