Although technically possible with any EVF camera, the X-T1's 'OMG I just walked into a movie theatre' viewfinder experience makes it the first camera where I PREFER reviewing images in the viewfinder rather than the LCD

I love the size of the camera and the images it produces.

With the digital split image focus assist option enabled, a small second screen is displayed within the EVF, which displays the selected focus point under magnification for accurate focus checking

I bought a X-E1 about a year before and found it to be a very versatile camera capable of shooting outstanding images.

It produces great images in Raw and excellent Jpegs.

Solid build, excellent viewfinder, responsive manual controls, very good image quality, etc.

Also as I also mentioned before, with the 35mm f/1.4 the continuous focus never locks and keeps searching/moving after reaching focus, so again for back focus button "mode" (with continuous focus, as back button focus is supposed to be used) can't really be used with shallow depth of field, so have to set the back button focus to single and not continuous, which takes away lot of the advantages of back button focus (having single and continuos focus all in one without changing settings).Using the Rokinon 85mm f/1.4+Metabones speedbooster, creates great images, with amazing out of focus area and great FF look images, and it's actually usable manually focusing wide open (softer images though than with something equivalent on a FF DSLR), contrary to manual focusing this lens on any DSLR I have ever tried before (even with a focusing screen I once installed)

The images are beautiful and it really is small enough to take with me almost everywhere.

You can get a very fast lens (f1.4 or even better) that performs amazingly, even very strong to the edge of the image wide open and for a reasonable price.+ This camera produces wonderfully sharp images.

Image Quality - one word superb.

I would highly recommend this Camera, its small, fast, and great image quality!

I've used, the first improvement I've noticed is the EVF-the image is sharp and bright.

I'm totally hooked on the Fuji ergonomics as well as the beautiful images that come out of these X-trans sensor cameras.

I have been able to capture some nice sunrise landscape images with the X-T1.Hopefully over time the autofocus acquisition will be faster and Fuji will add more features found on quality DSLR camera bodies.

I then started to look at alternative cameras that would allow me some creative control, have good image quality, and a sensor size that would allow me to limit the depth of field

It's small and the images are every bit as good as anything coming from Canon or Nikon

It's much heavier than I had expected, and without OIS (optical image stabilisation), images at slower shutter speeds suffered - defeating the benefit of a wide aperture

While the images I took all edited very well to look great, the minute you crop or zoom in at all it gets pretty pixelated, even with a prime lens

And I love the images that come out of it.

I can't tell you how many images I missed because of this shot-to-shot delay

Dumb I

My initial impressions, very disappointed as you can imagine, receiving a defective new 1900 USD camera (body+35mm) plus the following issues (known or not):The D-pad is bad!, small, too difficult to press, no tactile feedback when pressing, and the front/back dials are also difficult to feel, to find and to move... as most buttons really (contrary to the dials)

That is what lured me into the Fuji system is the excellent optics, the 35 1.4 is every bit as sharp as the Nikon 24-70 f/2.8 which i owned for years, but costs a fraction of the price (different lens different purposes i know, but the idea remains the same)

It seem that Kaisen in this case was castrating the camera and then release firmware upgrades to un-castrate it... at least after (almost) one year of releasing the camera it will work as it should (which is best than other manufacturers)

As a bonus, I can use my Minolta lenses with an adapter (in MF mode) and they are just as sharp as they were on my DSLR.Well done Fuji.
