Built solid, great tone, but I hate that I have to remove all four screws to replace the battery

Tried the Pigtronix Fat Drive, but it was too bassy; the TC Electronic Mojo Mojo Drive was too edgy for my taste, as were a number of other "overdrive" pedals - most had a "jagged" or "edgy" tone quality - not a smoother, rounder tone.

This is the distortion that gives me that fat tone and that sounds I been looking for!

I love the tone

Can be set to add just a bit of grain and sustain and size to your sound, a difficult tone to get at reasonable volumes.

I like to start with a nice clean tone, and then use one or two differently voiced overdrive pedals to give me both a crunch tone and one that is more suited for leads.

Well, now I've bit the bullet after comparing the OCD to the Joyo and found that just like Coca-Cola, "nothing beats the real thing"The pedal gain goes from adding a light, but fat tone and some crunch, to all out, in your face, high gain with the turn of a knob

I can get clean tones with the amp, kick on the OCD for great dynamic rhythms, and then I use a Wampler Pinnacle for a solo boost in gain, volume and mids

Great tone and sustain that is quite civil with the TA which does not have an effects loop

the Drive almost all the way down (pointing at the tone knob), and the Volume up, and assuming you didn't completely mess your amp tone up, you'll nail it every time

I'm impressed, and that says a lot for someone who just a few years ago, hated the idea of putting anything between his guitar and his amp...if the amp couldn't do it 'naturally' when it comes to dirty tone

Good pedal - maybe not the only overdrive you need but solid pedal and nice tones can be found inside.

If you want something completely transparent with rich tones at any volume and gain level check out anything by JHS Pedals

(i know i know i need a tube amp, I'm trying) and setting it on a very low gain and setting the OCD on a very low gain makes a sweet overdrive tone to die for

I spent a lot of time tweaking, but just could not get a decent tone with my Fender rig.

Good tone

I'm playing a Fender Strat through a Fender 212R and the tone is amazing, and it's a very quiet pedal

The volume knob lets you correct for all that available drive, and true bypass means you won't lose air and sparkle with your clean tone with this device in your lineup

Dialing in your perfect tone is not a hard task at all

I also have a ProCo RAT 2 Distortion pedal which I use for heavier, grittier tones, so I use the OCD for more classic sounding overdrive

My amp has never sounded better, this pedal can give you soft blues tones and heavy metal like you would not belive

You gain boldness and when your low end does gain some crunch, it is the biggest baddest tone that you could dream of

I've been able to get tones that I somewhat like in the LP mode.

I use this pedal with my HSS strat and through a blues Jr III and use the clean boost for the coolest clean tone ever.
