The Tech Armor doesn't cover the area under the home button and also has a millimeter or 2 millimeter gap between the edge of the protector and the edge of the screen, which is fairly annoying for looks as well as not actually protecting your entire screen

So you are right the screen protector does not protect the whole screen but in actual theory it does protect the part of the screen that needs to be protected.

The screen is nice, however, it does not adhere around the edges due to the rigidity of the glass and the curved nature of the screen.

It seems to me that it wouldn't be too difficult to compensate for the slight curvature of the Note 4's screen during manufacturing.

People complain about halos, edges popping up,the entire screen not being covered and what not, because, apparently, the Note 4 has a rounded edge screen that is hard to properly cover and the accessory manufacturers haven't caught up

Comparing the two, they both appeared to be the same in terms of clarity, but this one fits the screen so much nicer than the Tech Armor and actually covers the entire screen
