The pod is great.

Overall the pod is small and does not bother me.

I already own a Marware Nike+ foot pod holder (available on Amazon) and that would work fine as the Garmin sensor is about the same size of the Nike+ foot pod, but I'm a bigger fan of the LaceLid holder because you can simply remove the foot pod from the holder and move it between shoes (if you have multiple LaceLids) or take it out if you want to wear that shoe later in the day without running your battery down in the Garmin foot pod.

The foot pod synched right up to the watch and has worked great right out of the box

The included bracket fits underneath the shoelaces, and the foot pod sensor actually clips over the shoe laces to keep the pod secured to the shoe as you run

Based on what the treadmill reports, as well as my outside GPS data, the pod was accurate out of the box, even prior to calibrating

Garmin doesn't do everything perfectly (I'm annoyed with the way they're pushing Connect these days) but this outstandingly robust foot pod is quite an achievement.

I'd guess that the pod is useful for people who have a GPS watch, and who run unknown distances

For me it is showing 30seconds lower than what I am running so chosen to slap on this foot pod to get it a little closer to the actual.

I use this pod to track my running cadence, although it works well for distance on indoor treadmills as well.
