    Garmin Foot Pod [Retail Packaging]

    • Sadly, it arrived shortly before I decided I needed to lay off running for a while to let my foot heal
    • If you do proper running technique even on zero incline, you will get almost a similar reading using this device.
    • Pod works well records my run and calories burned
    • Great tool to fine tune your runs, worth the price.
    • the run is automatically uploaded just like any other.
    • When I use the Nike Shox (my main running shoe during intervals, tempos, and medium-long runs), all my runs completely suck with this foot pod
    • But, what I use this for most is indoor walking (where GPS signal is unavailable) or treadmill running, so that I don't have to manually input the walk or run in garmin connect following the run - with the foot
    • I have tried to calibrate this pod with an outdoor run, but apparently trees were in the way, and it still is not accurate with my treadmill runs
    • I have improved my running by being able to see the cadence that im running at
    • I bought this to use in my own "Personalized" running system
    • Had been contemplating how to enhance my runs for about a year with a device that compliments my fR410 GPS watch
    • Pod works well records my run and calories burned
    • as much as I prefer the outdoor runs, sometimes, the treadmill is necessary
    • It isn't very useful for those that run or walk outdoors since GPS handles the distance calculations, but it would be of significant benefit for those with indoor walking and running exercise since the steps can be calibrated to produce quasi-accurate distance measurements
    • my runs on the treadmill aren't as easy as I originally thought
    • The device provides great additional running data
    • Really good way to track you indoors run...extremely accurate and easy to sync.
    • I found out I took more steps as well as ran my fastest time ever that day
    • so it won't disturb your running.
    • and I'm all set!Happy running!
    • No interference with shoe when running.
    • Case and point: I run with this foot pod in a pair of Nike Turbo 8 Shox, and it continually slips out of my shoe laces, totally disrupting my run and training, and putting my investment at high risk of ruin by kicking it when it pops out
    • Works great with my Garman watch for a more accurate run.
    • It's good for steady-state treadmill running, and that's about it.
    • Many experts recommend a rate of approximately 180 SPM (steps per minute) as the most efficient running form for long-distance runs.
    • I usually just attach it to my laces when I go on my runs, but sometimes I do put the pod inside of my Nike Free running shoes.
    • big pluses: very small in size and very light, easy to attach to laces.was expecting better speed accuracy than GPS speed.highly recommended for improving running cadence.
