Here's how we like our set -up if I were traveling across the US from Canada all I want to do is load the State or Province, city, Street house number easy

The lane guidance and split screens made navigating in a strange city easy.

You can put in the complete correct address -- house number, street, city, state and zip code and it still cannot find the address.

This was especially annoying when traffic was heavy and I was in a strange city – but isn’t navigating strange cities the whole reason for having GPS?

If I were in an unfamiliar city I would follow the Garmin route, if I missed a turn I would follow the directions on the map more closely.

It eased me through very large, as I call them 'interstate cities', because the driving is fast by locals and many,many exits etc

In testing, we found that the unit set at the fastest route sometimes takes you into a lot of slow city traffic when other faster routes are available.

My daughter always takes her Nuvi with her in her pocket so she can use it when walking around strange cities
