Garmin nüvi 2797LMT 7-Inch Portable Bluetooth Vehicle GPS with Lifetime Maps and Traffic (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

    • The size Certainly does not Obstruct the driver's view
    • This item is missing the english voice function for finding location , also it does not have the traffic function as advertised.
    • If you follow the Garmin's proposed route the problem does not occur but if you deviate as I often do because I'm typically driving through known territory then the "Real Directions" sometimes appears to take more than a block to recalculate and provide the turn alert
    • Two bad points, voice command sometimes is frustrating because it does not understand what you are saying, and the suction cup set up to attach GPS to your window does not work well
    • Hands down this unit was a waste of money, not only does it not route you properly, the traffic feature is a joke, it actually only notified me once of an incident, said there was an accident 71 miles ahead on a road I was only on for 32 miles.
    • Mounting it high on the windshield helps, but does not eliminate sun glare
    • 2797LMT.This does not seem right to me.
    • size does make it easy to see but not sure yet that's
    • we really miss most is a plain clock, since our unit sits in front of the clock in the car (the only place it can be placed). It does well what it's intended to do
    • TO RETURN!!UGH!it does not recognize a number of addresses i input.otherwise ok.marc s
    • To be fair, this does make it easier to hit the desired target on the touchscreen with your fingertip.
    • then this one, someone at Garmin is not on the ball, takes me on wrong turns and some addresses are not there, even voice command does not bring up the correct addressbut easy to read screen, NO instructions manual included, suction mount very good, good long cig lighter cable, fast touch screen, mounted on center consul, strong sat signal,do not use amazon store credit card deferred payment plan, its a con game with the bank
    • I don't love it, my wife does
    • It just does not seem to like my fingers !
    • it does make it easier for me to read the maps, and I like many of the new features and viewing modes such as the school zone warning and the auto enlarge views of highway intersections, but if you are looking at this device because of the voice controls, I would recommend that you do lots of research and read all the reviews you can find
    • My old 7200 did not have a sun glare issue, this one does
    • But what good does it do to plot a course with Voice Recognition if you have to go through a series of 15mph speed traps
    • Also the friction mount does not really hold the unit firmly
    • Works about every Garmin I've had (4), usually accurate, does make errors, and sometimes sets out weird routes.
    • But what good does it do to plot a course with Voice Recognition if you have to go through a series of 15mph speed traps
