Garmin nüvi 2797LMT 7-Inch Portable Bluetooth Vehicle GPS with Lifetime Maps and Traffic (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

    • Great new features ie: lane split "photos" and plenty of advance notice of upcoming turns and lane positioning
    • In that case disable this feature in Settings->Navigation.
    • 6 months later I'm still discovering some of the great features.
    • This GPS impressed me as having all of the right features, updates for the life of the unit, voice command, Bluetooth and convenient operations
    • The voice activation is the best feature
    • Excellent Feature
    • It automatically lets you know there's a "feature" coming up, like a gas station or bank.
    • Audio is excellent and the Bluetooth feature works very well with my phone; excellent audio in both directions.
    • ALso - life time updates a great feature - I just did an update on my old Garmin - so necessary - it's navigated me into places where roads have literally been closed, DUG up and no longer exit - and a single update cost almost $50.
    • It does respond to the recommended "wake up call" VOICE COMMAND, but after that everything I try to do gets me a message that says "this feature is not available in the United States with American Speech" or words to that effect.
    • This unit has great features
    • Overall I'm very happy with this GPS, great feature set, great screen size, I'm using nav voice activation and the bluetooth hands-free phone, would be 5 stars if not for the iffy 2nd turn voice alert.update after weeks of use:5 stars now, I've figured out why the 2nd alert appears iffy
    • Why some fool programmer added ths "cool" feature is beyond me
    • not only is the display not sharp, but the rendered buildings and roads are poorly drawn- as usual, Garmin had a nice feature in the past that is now missing, in this case, the dashboard option.
    • More features than previous versions and big screen is nice
    • It also comes with some very nice unexpected features, like using landmarks for turns and automatically zooming in for the turn then back out again.
    • While it has some of the features I liked from my old unit, like Voice Command, and some new features that I enjoy, such as Bluetooth connectivity with my phone, it's not as intuitive to use, and functions (such as "where Am I?") aren't easy to find, or where you'd expect them.
    • but, I *hate* this feature.
    • Has some nice features and runs smoothly.
    • Nice features.
    • Excellent picture quality and features!
    • very accurate and easy to use and good features

    • Nice features, too, that previous models don't have
    • It's a nice feature in theory, but it misses a lot
    • We liked the large screen and the traffic feature
    • You make the best GPS devices, but you constantly mix up the features in various models (just to mess with us???).
    • Lane guidance is the best feature it has.
    • This GPS Garmin has so many wonderful features
    • I like the features this has
    • The school zone warning is a great feature.
    • Takes about 12 hours to first update, Bluetooth is a nice feature.
    • I also think the added feature of nearby attractions is nice.
    • The Bluetooth feature works quite well and I can answer my cellphone calls with it, if I need to
    • The Bluetooth feature works quite well and I can answer my cellphone calls with it, if I need to
    • The additional features such as voice recognition is fantastic (you can actually talk to it and tell it where to go, and it listens!!
    • This in addition to the usual nice Garmin features like zoom in when reaching intersection, etc.
    • Solid feature list, excellent maps, respectable scroll speed.
    • Also, the voice command features work to make a phone call (from the contact list or speak a number), adjust the volume and brightness, as well as other features you would normally need to touch the screen for
    • The 7 inch screen is super and the features are really nice.
    • One feature not available on any GPS which baffles me, is why can't we enter any address or trip planning on a computer and then download it to the GPS since it's already connected through the USB cable
    • Some really nice features like voice command, road up ahead and the large screen.
    • It also shows the road signs when appropriate (feature is used when there is something to show) and tells you to turn at the stop sign, light, etc. which is an upgrade for me.
    • I like the feature that shows pictures of complex intersections as you near them to ensure you navigate them correctly first time through.
    • THE 7 IN SCREEN IS A GREAT FEATURE AND
    • It has so many nice features and so easy to see and enter addresses
    • I have to agree with just about all of the 5 start ratings, this unit certainly does have some great features.
    • but it's a really cool feature!
    • It's a nice feature in theory, but it misses a lot
    • The extra "up ahead" features (such as locations of ATMs, gas stations, etc.) are very helpful, although you might want to turn that feature off in an urban area because the icons tend to fill up the screen.
    • Now before you roll your eyes, this feature on my 3590 works surprisingly well
    • There are so many great features about this product.

    • It is a wonderful feature that shows the signs and surrounding view on the highways to help with your exits
    • There are really handy features, like the search feature
    • It also comes with some very nice unexpected features, like using landmarks for turns and automatically zooming in for the turn then back out again.
    • Works great and has some nice features
    • Any functionality enhancing features of the integration (e.g. better traffic data etc.) cost an additional $20
    • Nice feature where you can include your favorites (icons) for quick search to frequent destinations
    • Voice commands, features are all great.
    • The newer features in the programming are very nice, and the large size is excellent
    • Another nice feature if you are traveling are the gas pump and dollar signs that indicate a gas station or a bank/ATM is coming up
    • There are slightly more expensive models but you can't beat the rich feature set and large 7" screen which is just terrific.
    • I particularly love the weather feature and the connection to my AT&T Skyrocket Android phone is seamless and reliable (since the app runs continuously in the background on the phone)
    • A very cool feature
    • The key feature for me is that this one works by observation
    • Excellent features.
    • but I think once we know how it works, we will like this feature
    • and I am totally enjoying every feature that it has to offer.
    • Very easy to use and I like the extra features it comes with, as long as I have my garmin, I'm never lost.

    • Unit works great I love the large display, it makes it so much easier to see and the split screen feature when coming to a off ramp or route change is especialy nice, glad I went with the updates option, keeps me current
    • I love the voice command feature.
    • Lots of good features
    • Hi,I like the quality of the product (good materials, nice finish, good screen and sound, etc); but I deeply dislike the Garmin Traffic Feature, that works very poorly and that many times, simply, does not work at all
    • Large with great features
    • It has a lot of nice features, especially the extra large screen.
    • Another cool feature is that you can zoom out and view the maps and pick the route you want to go

    • Wonderful features, loved it
    • I think my favorite feature is the Voice Command app, which actually saves a huge amount of time over searching for a destination, or entering an address
    • Love the features and display clarity.
    • For me, one of the best features is an on-off button.

    • and she's told me about neat new features she's found
    • Also, I like the feature that lets me
    • The traffic alert feature works well.
    • but I wish Garmin would use most use of highways in the nav software, and there is no more search by zipcode wich is very important feature for

    • I love all the features
    • All in all, there are enough features that I'm pleased with my purchase
    • loudness feature of this unit is better than the lmt2595, however, I still have to turn it up to 100%.
    • The best feature of this smartphone link app is sending destinations from Google maps to garmin smartphone link since gps databases are very limited when compare to google
    • Never be lost or confused as to which street or off ramp to take, or panic when your fuel tank is low, or get stranded in heavy traffic.
    • It doesn't know the roads of my state as well as I know them
    • This model is as close to perfect as it gets
    • I also have an older smaller Garmin which I liked a
    • I was confused as to whether it did that
    • If so, than any 1 amp charger will work as long as you can connect to the 2797 direct with a micro USB tip.
    • T work
    • but it works surprisingly well with a beanbag mount...a 1490T on steroids.
