This is the best Garmin GPS I have owned

I purchase the Garmin Portable Friction mount (bean bag type holder) to allow me to use the GPS in both my pickup truck and the wife's SUV.

Meanwhile some Garmin GPS like 885T behave wonderfully at any position (lower or upper).The traffic alarm is just wrong

Typically, mine have been factory GPS in my cars and have always been somewhat disappointing but this portable Garmin is exceptional

I like the Garmin, but it came with a charger that does not fit the device.

I was lost and my new garmin was dead and couldn't charge it

The Garmin is much more accurate, the maps are up to date and the graphics is superb.

My husband loves the Garmin 7" screen

The screen is very easy to read, but unfortunately, except for the map itself, Garmin doesn't take advantage of that extra resolution, so most of the displays look too large and have too little information, as if it's a 5" display simply blown up to 7".

I recommend this Garmin highly.

I have just recently moved and was looking for a good garmin i checked the review on quite a few and felt this was what I was looking for, its easy to use and I have not gotten lost = : ) worth the investment, i previously had a different Garmin that I gave to a friend, I love the new one better

An liked it but this one with the split screen an tells you a whole lot more out of all the GPS I've had in the past I really love garmin!

I don't use it often, I actually have it on the GPS I have on my car right now (the dash mounted GPS doesn't work anymore, $600 to repair, thus the Garmin is a much cheaper replacement) but I always used the touchscreen to write addresses etc

I didn't know how obsolete my old GARMIN was - this bigger screen is wonderful - easy to see all kinds of details at a glance - requires learning some new procedures for features the older Garmins don't have but this thing has been a life saver so many times.

The home page is changeable so you can add POI's or any other frequently used category without having to page through three menus like my previous Garmin's.

No support on weekends, so I will call Garmin on Monday and see what they say.

The downside, Garmin's POI system is terrible.

There are mainly two reasons I love this Garmin: the voice command feature makes my searches while driving so effortless, and the fact that it syncs with my IPhone allows me to check weather and traffic conditions.

I found the Garmin did excellent inside the city, but cross country it will direct you on the shortest but not always the best route.

the 7" Garmin is a delight to use

Garmin Express works well and our maps were updated quickly to include registration.

I just used it on a recent trip to Argentina and Brazil with the Garmin "Free maps for Garmin brand GPS devices" and I never got lost.
