Getting to the volume and some other controls are easier than the 5".I used the newer Garmin friction dash mount because my older three legged frictionmount from Garmin would not support the weight of this unit

Now it's an expensive paper weight.

-The sucking pad does not hold the weight of this GPS and sometimes falls off when I am driving

I am finding it easier to use my cell phone than this overpriced paper weight

but it works surprisingly well with a beanbag mount...a 1490T on steroids.
