The problem is that you can't manually edit your time / distance from the device OR the Garmin Connect site so tracking using the Garmin is completely useless.

But I love my Garmin.

Garmin has been good about replacing my Vivoactive HR when is fails, but the product shouldn't fail this often and this quickly with fairly light use even though worn almost 24/7.The positives about Garmin/Vivoactive HR:1

while I've never preferred the Garmin units I will certainly recommend against putting $20k of their electronics in a boat only to have them fall so short of what they said were its capabilities.

Garmin will replace it when it fails, but will not compensate you for the purchase of a different model which does not have a defect.

We will not buy Garmin smart watches again, we'll go back to Fitbits where they actually have an e-mail alias they respond to and call you when they need more information.

Once again a very dim Garmin logo popped up followed by the battery charging indicator and it showed that is was still completely dead.

So this is big and major flaw of the entire activity tracker and it needs to be fixed by a software update, but apparently Garmin has been ignoring people's comments throughout user groups for the last 2 years.

Had to return know battery issue, device just died two weeks into owning it, garmin was willing to replace, said it was a known issue, but it would take up to 2 weeks to get another one, so returned defective to amazon and got the fenix3 instead.
