(passive GPS use).

The GPS is great and it works awesome to upload rides onto Strava.

The GPS is great and it works awesome to upload rides onto Strava.
-
overall, good small GPS for the money.
-
Great interface, solid GPS connectivity and a good comfortable design.
-
The GPS works great and is very fast acquiring satellite coverage...just a few seconds compared to minutes with the 205.
-
love the GPS aspect as well... great value
-
Unfortunately it requires being fairly snug against your skin which leaves an impression of the optical monitor against your upper wrist.+ GPS is solid, as is the redesigned Garmin Connect for additional activities
-
The GPS works flawlessly
-
I think the GPS is great, I think the tracking ability for motion and sleep are fine, but the UI is clunky as heck, it's crazy easy to accidentally press buttons and have things
-
GPS is spotty, making my pace per mile on runs pretty erratic
-
Very durable, great GPS with no need to take your phone for GPS.
-
Best GPS watch I've had yet
-
Overall, I liked the GPS and HR monitor for exercise and other physical metrics like knowing sleep, weight, andresting heart rate
-
Makes beautiful GPS tracks of walks and hikes.
-
but I love the GPS
-
Likes-GPS
-
I wish there was a hiking option as for a workout because I do a lot of hiking and the GPS is very helpful to track the trails I take
-
The GPS also works without having to have a phone with you, which is a great feature!
-
Battery life is awesome, gps works great and notifications work really well.
-
Multiple workout features Excellent GPS that does not require a phone Garmin Connect App
-
But if you want a fitness tracker that adds rough GPS and HR data, this is a fine deal
-
But the GPS is even worse
-
Fast GPS connection
-
3 - The GPS is terribly inaccurate
-
The GPS and software is very nice.
-
All the functionality is wonderful, it has the best GPS that I have used in several smart watches, but
-
The watch has good battery life, always on display, great GPS, and all the sensors one would expect
-
The answer is to manufacture a GPS Smart Watch with a better pattern of reliability.
-
Its GPS works perfect when running or cycling in the street
-
Love the HR, love the GPS
-
The GPS has its shortcomings too.
-
Pros:*Very accurate GPS (can easily tell which side of the street you're on)
-
Switched to this from tomtom gps watch, which sometimes had syncing issues and slow gps connectivity.
-
Also, ironically the GPS is not very accurate, when I see the route that I did shows some trails that I did not do it at all, and I said "ironically" because I always thought in Garmin as a leader GPS brand.
-
The GPS works even in heavily wooded areas, too
-
The vivoactive HR i found had more accurate GPS tracking than the Nike
-
Overall, it remains a solid GPS watch, but a mediocre HR monitor.
-
functions great GPS works well
-
The gps was flawless and the notifications worked most of the time
-
The GPS and HR monitor are very accurate and the durability is great
-
The GPS will sometimes shortchange me by up to 1/2 mile on the routes that it was accurate on just a few days previously
-
Pros :* Good GPS performance and
-
The GPS still works good, which is great for going on bike rides and hiking
-
Love the GPS too.
-
Battery life is awesome, gps works great and notifications work really well.
-
It is a really nice Device to use in any sport, it shows a lot information, Statistics HR, distance, and a accurate GPS.
-
Accurate GPS.
-
The GPS works well and as long as you're outside it finds the signal pretty quick
-
Awesome gps watch
-
But while it worked, it really was everything I wanted in a smart GPS watch.
-
The GPS is amazingly accurate during all of my runs and really helps me keep a steady pace
-
Best GPS watch I've used so far!
-
Tracking is great (especially GPS), and the face customization is fun
-
I don't really need the GPS piece but really liked the other features the device offered so the GPS was just a bonus.
-
The GPS is very accurate.
-
1 apple watch, and liked it (no GPS though); when I switched to Android, I tried a Samsung Frontier, but it stunk for anything but looking pretty, including any kind of reliable GPS/fitness tracking, so I tried the Garmin.
-
The GPS is accurate enough for government work.
-
It's small and light enough to wear as an everyday watch, and the GPS (when it works) is good for tracking pace and distance
-
Great fitness watch, comfortable to wear, quick GPS lock, reasonable number of smartwatch features, and broad number of activity tracking options
-
but you get reasonably accurate GPS tracking and a bounty of available excercise software to help take your workouts to the next level
-
GPS worked well, and it was a very nice running watch
-
I'm on my second one, with the first one having a very incorrect GPS.
-
The GPS is accurate to which side of the street your on, the battery has never weakened and lasts a week easily (without gps activities tracked)
-
Well, a watch, and a gps
-
The GPS seriously drains the battery too.
-
Very accurate GPS, very accurate heart rate monitor (for a watch).
-
Great GPS sync
-
The screen is kinda dark and the gps stops working sometimes
-
The GPS works
-
The battery life is a huge advantage over the other watch, plus the larger screen is great, and GPS seems to work well
-
Awesome GPS watch
-
Heart rate monitor (a bit sporadic, but great for general reference)- Colored touch screen (not as sharp and pretty as the iWatch of Gear S, but does not drain the battery)- Size - A little large, but houses lots of functions
-
I had 2 defective Vivoactive 3’s and finally got one that
