if it damages my mic it kinda defeats the purpose.

When I got the case, I thought it was a little too soft for the expensive mic that I purchased, but I have actually come to really love it

I would recommend that you insert the microphones into the case with the microphone facing down: The tubes for the mics are very snug and you may have difficult retrieving the mic if you insert it the way the image

I see is that it's a bit of a sloppy loose fit for the most popular mic in history
