Wanted to create a charging station for my phone in my bedroom that had a couple USB ports but also had some surge protection

I put this behind my tv stand and hooked up the tv, 3 gaming consoles, and plenty of charging cables into it, all with surge protection and no problem whatsoever

Another claim on the back of the box is that it has "Automatic shutdown technology" that "stops power to devices when surge protection expires"

And it has surge protection, which my old generic lamp-type extension cord didn't have.

They do!I can't report on the surge protection this power strip provides

We also appreciate that the entire device will automatically shut down when the surge protection function expires

Surge protection is a necessity int he kitchen

I appreciate the size and simplicity of the box, although I'm not really sure how the surge protection operates without a switch.

Does it mean at some point in the future the power strip will be useless because the surge protection has "expired"
