I guess that's good if you are throwing away rotten food or something equally as smelly.

I live in a college apartment with a kitchen shared by 4 people, and since buying these bags I have not smelled anything from the kitchen trashcan, despite my coffee grounds and trashed food/leftovers

Final thoughts --- if you plan on using this for Styrofoam cups or another light weight material that takes up lots of space, then this COULD be the perfect garbage bag for you, but if you are like the rest of us and want to through out rotten food, old leftovers, and an manner of other useless junk that has any amount of weight to it, avoid this garbage bag.
