    • the color is stunning and i am excited to start playing again after a multiyear hiatus (played in grade school).
    • The instrument that arrived was exactly the one that was pictured on the listing: removable plugs for converting to an open-keyed instrument (and, thoughtfully, a jeweler's screwdriver for unmounting the keys to prevent damage to the instrument when the day to do that arrives); offset-g with split-e mechanism; and a b-foot with gizmo key (so playing the top c doesn't blow out a lung). That said:* When pressing only the c-roller key on the foot, the c-sharp key stands half a millimeter proud of its tone hole, which prevents middle c from speaking
    • so my pinkie also rests on the c-sharp key when I play middle c—until I can shim the c-sharp key or have the cup arm bent to seat better
    • Even low c and c# are clear
    • The high register and low register notes are equally clear, and the low C, C# and D sound great
    • This is not the cheap-o quality flute here.
    • L wouldn't recommend
