I am so glad that instruments are finally affordable!

You'll be surprised how wonderful it feels to have one of these lovely instruments in your hands and how genuinely fine the sound is.

Not sure about tuning, but she's young, too young for the band yet, and this was a great experiment to see if its something she'd stick with before buying a pricier instrument

This instrument is easy to use, the beginner, will have a nice tone in a short time

The instrument that arrived was exactly the one that was pictured on the listing: removable plugs for converting to an open-keyed instrument (and, thoughtfully, a jeweler's screwdriver for unmounting the keys to prevent damage to the instrument when the day to do that arrives); offset-g with split-e mechanism; and a b-foot with gizmo key (so playing the top c doesn't blow out a lung).That said:* When pressing only the c-roller key on the foot, the c-sharp key stands half a millimeter proud of its tone hole, which prevents middle c from speaking

I'm sure it's a nice instrument, for the money, when working properly.

If you have a good ear, especially that of an experienced flutist, the difference in sound between a really fine instrument and this is very distinguishable

I played this instrument an hour a day for one month and then the G stopped working as the other reviews stated

Yes, a pro or intermediate model would be a better instrument overall, but we just needed a starter flute for us to learn how to play and enjoy it's presence in our house.

It's a good starter instrument but you'll have to eventually upgrade if the flute is something you'll begin to take seriously

Brought for my daughter, she loveit, her orchestra teacher recommended this instrument and has worked perfectly

I'm sure it serves its purpose well as a simple decoration, but I wouldn't recommend a colored instrument of any sort if you want to play.

Ignore the people that say you can't play on cheap instruments

My advice is not to be tricked by this because these types of companies want kids to see this and instantly ask there parents to buy it just because they want a colorful instrument but on these type of instruments they use a very cheap quality of metal
