I don't foresee the lid closure lasting forever, as it is cheap plastic, as you get what you pay for, but that doesn't bother me.

They open and close well and are sturdy plastic

plastic is good, doesn't feel like it will crack from the cold after removing them from fridge after a few weeks

i have a little concern that in time the solid plastic hinge may break, but they are not very cost prohibitive either.

The plastic breaks and cracks really easy

The plastic that bends every time you open and close seems a little frail, however it is holding up so far.

Update, Now 2 of the 4 boxes have broken because the plastic is so brittle

However don't buy, brittle plastic hinges break too easily.

Cases were a good sturdy plastic that has some give to them (not like a bakelite style that would easily crack or break).

The "hinges" are just cheap, stiff plastic
