It takes only a minute to remove the car seat for boarding and to secure it back onto the frame after deplaning.

The only downside was that the ratchet latch would loosen a little from the car seat sometimes and we would have to retighten so car seat wouldn't drag the ground.

It's a great tool, and a must-have if you want your small child to ride in the car seat (cheaper tools could drag a car seat through an airport, but not provide a sturdy ride-on seat)
