Let's all be honest noone who truly enjoys god of war expected kratos not to kill everyone he sees, so it's really weird when he comes off so subdued like his wife was an emasculating feminist

I won’t comment on who is better, as I think they both fit their respective eras very well, but for representing all that Kratos is (a man with a dark a past, a mourning husband, a trying father, an unbelievably strong god, etc.), he is nothing short of fantastic

God of War was good because it had pointless violence mixed with a Homeric narrative.

Somehow making Kratos a more grounded character and changing up the locale and mythology was the right recipe to make me want to play and love a God of War game

but they didnt want to degrade women in their games any further and the gore had lost its lust long term as every god in ROME was destroyed.
