Being interrupted regularly during attacks because you forgot to play the game like the Dark Souls it was modeled after.

Alot different from the old God of War games, feels alot like Dark Souls a little

Though I would say this game is better than Dark Souls in the respect that it actually has a storyline.

This game is a blend of Dark Souls, Lara Croft, or Last of Us almost exactly

It’s a third-person action-adventure game with a heavy focus on story and characters and exploration (like I said earlier) and features inspiration from many popular games, such as The Last of Us, Tomb Raider, Dark Souls, and probably dozens of others that I haven’t had the chance to play

Slight learning curve, plays like Dark Souls combat without losing progress if you die

Much like the Dark Souls series, every time you die, you never feel it's the game being unfair.-Atreus as a partner character feels nearly flawless as an AI companion (something I've never seen before in gaming)

It's a combination of sword and board Dark Souls 1 combat with Batman Arkham indicators popping up to tell you that you have to dodge

It tries to copy Dark Souls in some ways but falls way short

Its like Dark Souls mixed with God of War

It's challenging (but fair) on normal difficulty.... and without crushing your spirit (I'm looking at you Bloodborne & Demon/Dark Souls).

If you want to play a tactile third person combat with RPG elements, pick up Bloodborne or Dark Souls 3 instead.

It has a weird RPG element to it that kinda reminds me of something along the lines of Nioh or Dark Souls

Perhaps after I beat this game in "Gimme God of War" difficulty, I may try my hand at Dark Souls once more, being that I quit that game pretty early on, though that was years ago

I don't feel like I'm mapping the enemies moves like a Dark Souls game because the HUD is flashing warnings all over

I am a Monster Hunter and Dark Souls fan, but after playing and finishing the game God of War is GOTY as much as I hate to admit it because I want Monster Hunter World to be 2018 GOTY
