I will be attempting to use my GPS protection plan to get it fixed.

In short, it does what it's supposed to do if the GPS wants to work that day, but I found that you get the same function from free apps, so there was not much added benefit with this device.

This is a great GPS golf range-finder

After 2 rounds of using it, the GPS was unable to locate me on the course

Even a free GPS app on your phone with aerial images of the hole you're on, along with location tracking, could give you a better idea of distances (to varying points other than the green)

I know it has a longer battery life but improved GPS would make me a buyer again.

I have checked it against other more expensive GPS devices and it is right on in distance
