In fact, I had surgery to correct my deviated septum a couple of years ago, and the substance that my surgeon used to remove the splint and bandages smelled suspiciously like Goo Gone.

Goo Gone is a petroleum distillate based product so you must clean the surface to be painted after applying Goo Gone before you paint

I've found Goo Gone works wonderful in an auto body or paint environment too.
