With the remote in use, both batteries die in hours.

Only negatives are it drains the battery faster and doesn't work underwater.

1 word of caution both app and remote run on wifi system and will drain the GoPro battery.

Battery is honestly really bad

I used the remote this summer on a handful of fishing and kayaking trips and it seemed to work fine however it will drain your GoPro battery quickly.

Otherwise you have to keep the bluetooth on at all times to use it which drains the gooro battery tremendously.

Terrible battery life

Mine connects fine and seems to stay connected, but it requires the remote to be on (no power saving mode) and connected to the camera at all times, which drains the battery in both devices in about 1-1.5 hours.

If this is not done the battery can start draining automatically in some cases, depending on the charging source

I use this on my motorcycle handlebars.. works great, decent battery life, charging cable is kind of funky though, if you lose the cable, you'll have to order a new one since it's non-standar.

The only drawback is that it does seem to drain the battery a bit faster since the two devices are constantly connected, but they were generally able to have it last most of their rides during the day.

Drains your hero battery way too fast

I'm not sure how long the rechargeable battery lasts but using it means that the camera needs to be in REMOTE MODE which is going to drain the battery in the camera

I don't think I've ever actually been able to use this because every time I need it the battery on it is dead.
