I don't like that it uses a proprietary charging cable; although it makes sense as they wanted to avoid the small opening needed for standard USB connection which would collect dirt; I just have to carry yet another charging cable around.

I use this on my motorcycle handlebars.. works great, decent battery life, charging cable is kind of funky though, if you lose the cable, you'll have to order a new one since it's non-standar.

Strange charging dock design make it worry about loosing the charging cable.

The big drawback to this OEM remote is that it takes a proprietary cable, one more cable to carry and if you lose it, that it your done, you will need to go buy another $20 replacement cable.

Combine a non-intuitive user interface, the inability to relaibly connect with my Hero 6, unpredictable battery life, a funky atypical charging cable, a form factor that is awkward, and the fact that camera remotes are not hard

works beter than the phone control, great with a selfie stick and tripod as well as when it is on the bow of the boat!!!
