Here are some thoughts:Good:-It's much better than buying the $20-60 toy sets they sell at Wal Mart or other retailers.-Toms are all tunable (drum key included)-Perfect size for kids who really want to learn drums
Its very small but its a great size for my 5 and 8 year old...

Our daughter does not care, but I know if she knew it were an option, she would prefer the bright blue one in the picture (that is why we ordered blue instead of black...the bright color)
The color is vibrant and our son LOVES them
The color is hard to explain because where the light hits it directly it's a stunning sort of metallic blue, and off to the side of the direct light it fades to almost black

The snare is a little troublesome, the apparatus used to engage the snare is very time consuming compared to the lever operation of more expensive drums
It is a lovely drum set, worth the price, looks well made, good quality.
I am a drummer, having played for over 30 years and can attest that these are very decent drums, especially for $190.
This is a good 1st Drum set for a child but if you are looking for this color of blue, you will be highly disappointed as it is so dark it looks Jet Black
I now have to pay s&h to return the defective drums 2 days before Christmas
