Stays perfectly in my rig even with all of the bouncing from the rough roads.

I use my Garmin 7” Dezl for pilot escort work, so I drive on a lot of rough roads and the supplied suction cup mount would frequently break loose and drop my gps on the console

The suction was strong and I have have no problem using this even on a bumpy road

Didn't think it would hold unit without disconnect over rough road with the long extension feature

Like that it articulates and the suction mount works much better than the one that came with my Garmin 6" GPS, as it would lose adhesion in cold weather and on bumpy roads

Unpaved roads are a different story, yes it rattles, but so does everything else when you're not on a paved road

If you hit a pot hole or train tracks the gps will droop and be looking at the floor, if you live or drive in an area with perfect roads this
