Most have a massive cool factor (the PowerMate is a good example: it's just a dial and button, but it's perfectly suited to certain jobs; not only that, it's designed so well that you may be itching to get it for looks alone)

The screw stays in place (good design), but the switch fell off when I opened the case (bad design)

I'd be willing to pay more for a more robust design with higher quality construction
