Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock - PS2

    • The game play is more challenging and the songs are awesome.
    • As always, Guitar Hero stands or falls on the strength of the songs, and while there are some good songs, overall I wasn't impressed
    • One thing I do have a problem with is why they couldn't use better songs by certain bands.
    • Featuring spectacular songs like the Rolling Stones' "Paint It Black" and Metallica's "One"; Guitar Hero III also features selections from Santana, ZZ Top, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins, Dead Kennedys, The Killers, Social Distortion, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Dragon Force, and the Sex Pistols among others; helping make this installment of the game be all the more memorable.
    • There's some great songs on here
    • The songs are great, there's more characters, and there's plenty of stuff to buy
    • Reading your star power and score have become difficult, and a smaller fretboard is a killer, especially as the songs get faster and more complex
    • I was, however, expecting the best song list of the line, as many gaming sites stated
    • It is the third game in the guitar hero series, so it is not too developed, but it has a great song selection.
    • They weren't necessarily bad songs, for example if I heard them on the radio I wouldn't change the channel in disgust.
    • They also butchered some songs, most notably The Devil Went Down to Georgia; I was skeptical at first because it's a fiddle song and my fears were confirmed as I noticed it became a death metal song.
    • the only thing they worked on was making the singers mouth match the words to the songs, but it was all for nothing because the singer doesn't look like he would be able to sing period, nevertheless sing any of these wicked songs
    • While there are some really good songs in the lineup (Black Magic Woman, La Grange, Holiday In Cambodia), overall the sound is mushy, making it often very difficult to follow the music
    • This made it REALLY hard to do harder songs since I had to scoot up to the screen and squint my eyes
    • Like the killers have way better songs that are more likely more fun to play than "When we were young."
    • For the most part though, as I originaly stated, Guitar Hero 3 is a good game with a lot of decent songs and wonderful replay value
    • The bonus songs aren't very good either...usually the bonus songs make up for all the crappy set songs, but there weren't many decent ones in either department
    • Easier controls - the hammer ons and pull offs are slightly easier than Gh2Good songs - although it takes a while for the boring (but still classic) songs to pass, it is worth the wait for the more modern and sweet songs that make the game what it
    • As well as the song Cliffs Of Dover, so much fun to play.
    • Almost all the songs are excellent
    • I loved playing the song Stricken by Disturbed
    • it's a fun game game quite easy on easy mode, the songs don't change after that, so I recomend starting on medium mode to give you a challenge.
    • In my opinion, the not so good songs outweigh the great songs making GH3 just an okay with a limited desire of re-playability
    • For those of you who do not know this song, it is probably one of the most complex and THE most fastest guitar shredding song in the world
    • In prior versions, I've really enjoyed discovering songs I liked from unknown acts like Shaimus, Brian Kahanek, and Bang Camaro.
    • It has alot better songs then Guitar Hero 2, but overall the game is not as difficult as Guitar Hero 2, although it does has have really tricky rhythms.
    • "One" is one of my all-time favorite songs.
    • i also have a 4 year old little girl who even can play some songs in the pratice mode when i slow it down to the slowest speed which you may think is crazy but i think this game can really help with hand-eye cordination
    • We ARE the history of guitar and have many, many good guitar songs they could use that at least you can understand the words and there isn't any screaming.
    • its ridiculous how poorly of an effort was put into making the band actually look like they are naturally playing the song
    • However, I feel as though the Guitar Hero franchise is now becoming a marketing tool for new bands and songs instead of following the formula of playing great songs both old and new.
    • Battle Mode is silly and superfluous.3- The saving times are much longer than previous games for some reason, and waiting 30 second after each song is very annoying
    • For example, I like the songs "Hit Me with the Best Shot" and "Barracuda" when I was playing demo in the store.
    • Take that Slayer song for example, that song(on hard) is much harder then pretty much any song on the previous Guitar Hero instillations, on EXPERT
    • I noticed the first few songs were super easy, then towards it the end it got considerably harder than usual.
