Hamilton Beach (47950) Coffee Maker with 12 Cup Capacity & Internal Storage Coffee Pot, Brewstation, Black/Stainless Steel

    • The problem is I hate having to unplug and drain condensation water build up under the filter and coffee dispenser container after EVERY USE
    • If you are in a studio it might be an issue to have a bright blue light at night, but not a problem for us
    • I've had 3 of these coffee makers, the first two were awesome, no problems even with multiple uses per day for a couple years
    • The only other problem that we have encountered is when someone who doesn't know how loads the filter so that it collapses, shakes the grounds into the filter so some land in it and some land around it, or uses grounds for 24 cups to make 12
    • The problem with this coffee maker is that it boils the coffee in the storage area down to nothing.
    • We previously owned a Brewstation which began leaking (a common problem) but we were spoiled with the ability to dispense one hot cup of coffee "on demand
    • Every 6 months (even if you clean it) there is a problem and I have to get another one
    • It works fine, just it is designed, and therein lie the problems
    • I have since noticed that this seems to be a chronic problem for people owning these.
    • Only problem is, the water leaks into the area between the heating section, and where the brewed coffee is kept.
    • My biggest problem with this brewer is the clean-up.
    • , I can problem solve (by problem solve, I gave it a thoroughly cleaning and hoped that perhaps the melted plastic was not actually melted plastic)
    • Amazon sent another one...thank you Amazon....same problem...and when I try to call Hamilton Beach for two weeks I get they are having tech difficulties with there phone lines
    • (this is a tricky engineering problem, perhaps impossible).
