Just don't fill it all the way to the top when spice grinding, that more than likely will kill the motor.

I will make a point, based on past experience with other coffee/spice grinders similar to this one and various blenders that I have owned, to not burn out the motor by overusing it at one session

After maybe 12 uses the motor burned out

The motor is relatively quiet and I'd highly recommend this product.

Amazon tells me that I bought my current model in March of 2020, it is now November 2020 and my motor is inoperable

It worked about three times, then the motor blew

Though you cannot submerge this grinder in water, because it would damage the motor, the bladed bowl and lid come clean quite easily by wiping them with a damp paper towel or a damp cotton rag

Over the course of about 30 seconds it gently stirred my spice mixture before jamming on a cinnamon stick and burning out its motor.

I don't find it unusually noisy, the tuck-away cord is nice, the button makes it easy to pulse instead of accidentally burning out the motor by pressing down the lid like other models.

Seems it is overspeeding and burning up the motor as with #2 or breaking the shaft as with #3.
