The Allure Portable appears to be a cross between the Amazon Echo (2nd Generation) and the Amazon Echo Tap

I have not tested it to see whether streaming time matches the promised 10 hours; similar sorts of batteries sold as accessories for the Amazon Echo and Dot do provide that type of performance, though, so presumably the Allure Portable can pretty much match them

But since the power cord can also be plugged directly into the Allure Portable, its not immediately apparent how to use the cradle or even what its for.

Overall, I am really really happy with the Allure Portable: excellent design and quality, versatile wifi or bluetooth use, fantastic sound, and a seamless Alexa experience
