Harman Kardon Soundsticks III 2.1 Channel Multimedia Speaker System with Subwoofer

    • I stumble onto this in a search and even though it was a bit more expensive, I knew it was what I had been waiting for
    • I hope that a bit of break-in will alleviate that issue to some degree
    • is a bit hard to get to depending on where you place the subwoofer
    • They sound just a tiny bit better than the soundsticks II bass wise but the range on the highs is overall the same
    • I can tell when one of my speakers gets knocked a bit and isn't pointing at me anymore, as there's a sort of sweet spot they create where the two speakers are aimed at your head
    • The subwoofer hits lows with amazing accuracy, at higher volumes it seems to die down a bit
    • If you push it too high, they tend to rattle the casing a bit, but for my use (music while working), it is more than adequate and the imaging is superb.
    • As can be expected, the crossover between the satellites and the subwoofer is not perfect, so you lose a bit of fullness in the lower midrange, but the bass is pleasantly punchy (provided you place the subwoofer on some sort of wooden surface) and surprisingly well-balanced
    • When I turn it up really loud and have the base on full it does distort a bit.
    • They are a bit pricey, and worth every penny
    • The A2s simply offer a fuller midrange and bass--without a subwoofer--than the Soundsticks, and they were less problematic--just a bit--to set up with my computer.
    • And it's a little bit hard to push with one hand,
    • Installation is a bit tricky, one of the speaker plugs got bent while trying to insert it in the correct place, but that was easy to fix (but that shouldn't
    • The only performance shortcoming is maybe a bit of weakness in the midrange, but the bass and highs are excellent
    • If you have an EQ laying around, or a 3 band EQ/mixer, you can clean up the audio a bit and get it sounding pretty smooth with the over under powered "sub
    • The design is very innovative and, as such, a bit of a novelty
    • The volume/mute control is a bit awkward to manipulate, so I usually use the PC to control the volume
    • I'm a bit of an audiophile and love the modern look on my dark desk; however the sound is really basic, more like $20 speakers, mostly its the sub vibration and rattle at any descent level
    • I was a bit nervous about purchasing the H-K Soundsticks III after reading some of the 1-star reviews.
    • any good pair of speakers or headphones needs to BREAK-IN before full performance!!and these little speakers can be really LOUD.Look cool..bass takes a little bit to break in then sounds really well, I left them on playing random music when not in the house for a couple of days
    • Place the speakers farther apart and sit several feet away and this smooths out, but you also lose a bit of detail, and any semblance of soundstage disappears.[EDIT: I failed to mention my sources when using these speakers
    • It is very easy to set up and the sub woofer looks pretty neat when the lights are turned off, the led makes the system glow a bit
    • Being a bit of an audiophile or rather a bit obsessive over sound quality for the past 45 years I've always subscribed to the philosophy that speakers are the one component of an audio system that you can't buy on specifications and should be auditioned first as each ear is different
    • To summarise, a little bit expensive
    • After 3+ months of constant use (5-7 hrs a day, I'm not kidding) one sattilite vibrates a bit on a few particular
    • I feel like I just bought a bit of extra happiness.
    • Great B A S S
    • The sound is excellent and volume can go as loud as I like.
    • So M I D D L E, Amazing T R E B L E, Highly Recommended, Love It!!
    • n’t go wrong.
    • Ultimately tried to return and received a series of belligerent e-mails from the seller about how "this had never occurred in the history of the company".Unfortunately, when buying anything second hand through Amazon you are rolling the dice
