Not to mention a severe lack of mid range

The only issues with this system is the lack of feeback on volume change, as well as the light staying on on the subwoofer even when muted

Combined with the sporadic volume button performance, the lack of visual feedback can be a big problem

Since most people will be buying this system to use with a computer, the lack of I/O will probably not be an issue, but it's something to be aware of

But if you like bumping music like metal/hip-hop/rock I find the sub a little lacking for that genre.

The only real weakness I can see with the Soundsticks is the lack of additional I/O for hooking up other equipment, and the location of the on/off and bass control on the back of the subwoofer

The biggest flaws are the lack of headphone jack, and the impractical, capacitive touch volume controls

My original problem was just a lack of space since my PC was in the bedroom where my wife and I sleep

The speakers are performing very well on headphone jack of notebook as well as on external DAC/soundcard

I've been using it for more than two years with my computer as well as with my Large TV.In overall, the music sounds good and the movie dialogue is clearly presented

Built quality is not as good as to the first generation of production

My only complaint is that the rubberized feet of the speakers have a tendency to retain dust, necessitating a through cleaning.

And the woofer leaves nothing to be desired: it thumps, hums and bumps exactly as you would want

I ramped from 62 at medium to 500 at 3/4 up, dropped 1K like 2 notches below middle, 2K and 8K up to 2/3 or so, 4K and 16K at 2 notches or so above middle

I know the brand has been through some transition since then, but these are just awesome speakers that certainly live up to H-K's reputation for quality.
