I've seen hit and miss reviews for this product

I saw the bad reviews and the good reviews, and decided to take my chances

I agree with another person who said it's possible some of the bad reviews may be based on the manufacturer and seller because Amazon has a lot of these same looking midi cables lumped in one category.

I was initially discouraged at buying this product, because some reviews said it may not work with all hardware configurations, but I figured for the price (about eight-ish dollars after shipping), that I could take the risk, rather than spend $30 on a similar cable that had possible no greater chance of working
