Have had my USB to MIDI cable and have loved it so far, have used for my DDM-4000, Keyboards, and drum pads, it is very easy to hook up, Just plug it in!

Tried a different USB to midi and that one works fine but this one corrupts sysex either sending or receiving

The driver installed automatically in a matter of seconds, even though I'm running on Windows 7 and it's not stated to support that system (this could be another reason it won't work properly for me).Upon clicking a troubleshooter button in the Synthesia program once I realized it wasn't reading my keyboard correctly (or hardly at all, for that matter), I was taken to a page on which a picture of this exact product was shown as a "worst offender" in a prompt insisting that users do not buy cheap MIDI/USB ports

Unfortunately the replacement is displaying the same symptoms as the first unit, so now it looks like I'm stuck with two possibly-broken USB / MIDI interfaces

I ended up buying a legitimate product (Yamaha's own USB-to-MIDI cable) from a legitimate seller (a national music store) and it works fine

I bought a different slightly more expensive ($30) usb/midi adapter and that one worked perfectly

a 4 year old AMD Phenom Quad Core running Windows 7 64Bit with 4GIG RAM.This Midi to USB adaptor worked right out of the box

For regular USB though it works well, recognized immediately on an Ipad or by Jack in Linux with zero configuration needed, haven't tried with Windows
