Direct connect my monitor to my work laptop, no problem, ever

This works as advertised, however, I've encountered an issue that is a bit unusual: When the switch is touching my Macbook Pro's metal case _and_ the metal stand that my laptop sits on, the switch interferes with my 5ghz wifi reception -- basically killing it, as shown in the photos

Reading product description, it does say 2K is only supported up to 30Hz, so product works as (or in this case, better) than advertised
