To simulate the average distance on the road, I stood 20 feet in front of the car and had a friend activate the horns - the sound is UNBEARABLE, believe me

The OEM horns were too wimpy sounding and I could barely hear it while on the highway with the music loud enough just to hear it over the road noise.

Nice, clean and easy install if you're moderately mechanical, and they're distinctive sounding in traffic and LOUD!

I left factory horns functional since these horns are loud but higher tones (sounds like horns of a smaller car).

Noise is more import car sound then large truck, but it does get your attention.

At least they don't have that tinny, toy, almost laughable sound of the stock horn

Horns have nice sound and quaility

This horn sounds like a clown blowing its nose.

No more weak sound from the originals.

I believe that the form factor of these horns makes them some of the loudest "apparent" sound you can get out of a set of horns, because they are mounted in the grille and the sound-producing element is facing straight out the front.

Unfortunately my WRX, that I installed these Supertones on, got stolen and never got recovered, so I don't get to enjoy the sound and look they added anymore, but if, or when, I get another Subaru, I will be buying these Hella Supertones again that's for sure

These aren't mich louder than stock in my opinion and VERY "meep meep" sounding.

Louder than the factory horns; not quite as loud as I wanted, but their sound IS more irritating than the originals, which is a good thing
