The base is secure and stable and assembles quickly.

The base of the stand IS very stable

Sturdy, heavy, low/wide base will not tip over offering protection from falls for my instruments

If you are buying this for a flute, I suggest also purchasing an extra "Telescoping Peg" because it will not make your flute lean as much as on these pegs
