First, it's superfluous: when the guitar is hanging by the headstock, it's already plenty secure thanks to the cushy padding, and anything that might knock it out of the stand would knock the whole stand over first.
Soft, protective padding, a firm base, and a simple locking mechanism protects your guitar better than any stand out there
Durable foam padding protects your guitar, top and bottom, from harm as well
The Hercules GS414B guitar stand is well made, stable, holds the guitar securely, and has appropriate padding so it won't damage the instrument
It has padded legs to protect the body of your guitar as well as padding at the top to protect the head of your guitar.
Unlike those cheesy cheap stands where the rubber feet fall off, the plastic end caps disappear and the strap breaks it was refreshing to find a guitar/bass stand that has a automatic lock, high quality foam to protect the finish and adjustable height
The Hercules GS414B Guitar Stand safely holds a wide variety of guitars (electric, acoustic, bass, etc.).Use / Operation: To use the guitar stand, the feet must be extended and the neck must be pulled up/out to an appropriate height.
The adjustable height is perfect for accommodating different instruments - from electric guitars to basses to acoustic instruments
I purchased this adjustable height stand to hold a standard-size electric bass guitar
When I first put my guitar in it and attempted to adjust to the proper height, it did bounce the instrument off the floor - totally my bonehead fault, but it set me to thinking that trigger doesn't have to have just an on/off option
Added bonus, included free is a small stand to hold the neck while working on the guitar (replacing strings etc).Overall, very good quality and thoughtful design.
Nice design spoiled by poor choice of materials.
I like the design and product, but if that "glue / tacky" touches my cocobolo Taylor, we'll see if it ruins the guitar finish
The leaned back design makes it very safe - no fear of tipping over
A well designed and thoughtful approach to guitar stands
However that light weight comes at the cost of a slightly more fragile build
The bottom line is that I am very happy with this stand and would recommend it to any guitar player who wants a sturdy, well built stand that keeps the guitar safe and should last for ever.
It looks great, has an incredible build quality and good materials.
Well all I can say is that I have quite a number of Hercules products and they are all just fantastic and well built.
Sturdy, well built and the best guitar stand you can buy.
It has padded legs to protect the body of your guitar as well as padding at the top to protect the head of your guitar.
but this is not a sure shot (and these guitars don't come close to fitting conventional stands even with tilting arms if the shape is sufficiently extreme). The GS 412B, because of the padded "T" coming off the upright handles the Z's and Explorer-styles just fine -- though I do throw a micro-fiber cleaning cloth over the T to ensure no marring given the extra weight of a solid body up against the T-bar pad vs. an acoustic guitar
They fit all of our guitars/bases- nothing too crazy shaped- a classical guitar, an acoustic guitar and a vintage semi-hollow body electric guitar
any body who owns a nice guitar should have this stand; fully adjustable; sturdy ;great value; collapses into small unit
I have 3 of these already plus the other one which I use for my solid body electrics.
Another nice thing is that you can move the guitar and stand safely with one hand by grabbing the top crook-neck of the stand--not the case with cheaper stands that support the body of the guitar instead of suspending it from the headstock
I really feel like this thing is my personal slave, just standing off to the side, waiting to grab my guitar when I hand it off
The thing was a pain in the
My favorite thing about this guitar stand is that you only need to use one hand to place or remove a guitar from the stand.
This thing is like Dewalt decided to build a guitar stand
exellent guitar stand, perfect for home and stage, very good quality and material, good for every guitar but specialy for flying v
Good product, good quality, packing was fair, service and time in receiving order was good
The build quality is very good and all the sections that come in contact with the guitar (Electric or Acoustic) are padded with a foam material to prevent scratching/ denting.
It looks great, has an incredible build quality and good materials.
poor quality of material, the raiser pole plastic button got sticky and broke without anything connected to it, or touching it
I have a friend that has had his guitar knocked out of the cheap "open" stands on three different occasions documented with three repairs to the broken headstock and/or neck of the guitar
A very nice touch is that when placing the guitar on the stand, two tabs automatically rotate into position to secure the neck
Does not damage your guitar neck and is very easy to use
Added bonus, included free is a small stand to hold the neck while working on the guitar (replacing strings etc).Overall, very good quality and thoughtful design.
Also received a bonus neck stand for guitar repairs,it supports the neck when you re-string your guitar.
Moreover, and the only real negative: the plastic Auto Grab parts seem the most likely to break, especially as the little arms bump and get caught on things when transporting the stand.
If you gig outside or inside your guitar is protected from accidental bumping and falling.
When your guitar head / neck is placed in the stand, the weight of your guitar (the head is held by the padded "U") causes 2 small arms to swing up and secure your guitar from falling out due to accidental bumps.
Very happy with this stand, it holds my Spector 5 string and my Fender Big Block P-Bass like a new born baby
You are reading snippets from reviews of Hercules GS414B A/G Guitar Stand
These handles have deteriorated into a sticky gross mess
There is a solution to throwing this stand out or having to put up with a sticky mess,
The height adjusting handle turned into a sticky gooey mess and disintegrated around the pins that hold it onto the stand
The plastic parts degraded into a sticky mess that transferred to the hands and my guitar
The plastic and rubber components on both stands has disintegrated rendering them both useless: the moulded plastic pieces literally crumbled while the rubberized compnents turn in to a sticky mess!
