    Hercules GS414B A/G Guitar Stand

    • One concern I had was whether the center of gravity of the bigger solid body electrics would be too far out towards the front of the tripod legs, given the acoustic designation of this stand -- making for a forward tip-over risk
    • It has padded legs to protect the body of your guitar as well as padding at the top to protect the head of your guitar.
    • They fit all of our guitars/bases- nothing too crazy shaped- a classical guitar, an acoustic guitar and a vintage semi-hollow body electric guitar
    • but this is not a sure shot (and these guitars don't come close to fitting conventional stands even with tilting arms if the shape is sufficiently extreme). The GS 412B, because of the padded "T" coming off the upright handles the Z's and Explorer-styles just fine -- though I do throw a micro-fiber cleaning cloth over the T to ensure no marring given the extra weight of a solid body up against the T-bar pad vs. an acoustic guitar
    • I have 3 of these already plus the other one which I use for my solid body electrics.
    • My bass weighs about 9.5 pounds with the strap and with its long neck, fits perfectly in the Hercules, with the body of the bass resting well-balanced against the padded legs
    • So I have a variety of guitars, including some stand-challenged Z-shaped and "Explorer-style" solid body axes, electric base guitars, headless travel guitars, along with conventionally shaped guitars
    • Another nice thing is that you can move the guitar and stand safely with one hand by grabbing the top crook-neck of the stand--not the case with cheaper stands that support the body of the guitar instead of suspending it from the headstock
    • any body who owns a nice guitar should have this stand; fully adjustable; sturdy ;great value; collapses into small unit
