Good modern power strips have widely spaced or rotating sockets to accommodate big plugs

Saves a lot of outlet space if you have multiple items to charge, and I've used 4 usb ports at once with no issue (from reading reviews on other products, some evidently don't use serial circuits, so each USB gets less power) also no overheating.
