If you are a beginner I strongly recommend the Hohner Special 20 (plastic comb) for its ease of play
-
Wood-comb harmonicas just never seem to be as comfortable as plastic-comb ones
-
I love the wooden comb on here
-
"MARINE BAND?"Aside from popularity, the Marine Band has a distinctive Pearwood Comb and produces luscious melodies
-
This is a good harmonica expecialy if you like a wood comb
-
If you prefer wooden combs and the feel of the Marine Band then this is THE option for a harmonic minor harp.
-
The sound is unbeatable and I like the sealed wood comb, but the 1 hole draw was blown out of tune in less than a month
-
It was a great harp and good wooden comb
-
Overall: The longtime favorite of many players, undisputed best for decades and, in my opinion, still a fantastic wood-comb harmonica at the mid-price range
-
My favorite thing about this harmonica is the classic wooden comb, giving it a much more rich, folky, Bob Dylan-esque tone (which is what I was going for)

My favorite Plastic Comb Harmonica, and outstanding in terms of comfort and ease of play
-
If you are willing to spend more I recommend the Suzuki Promaster (metal comb), which is my favorite off-the-shelf
-
I slightly prefer the sound and playability of the Special 20 and would therefore recommend the Special 20 (C), though I would recommend the Marine Band (A) as a second harmonica
-
The #2 (E) doesn't work, and the #1 (C) and #3 (G) are spotty, so no first C chord.
