Hohner Special 20 Harmonica, Major C

    • This is a very nice harp, clean, bright sounding when you want it to be, plays fast and is responsive, and is sensitive to less air, similar to a Lee Oskar, as far as air needed for playing, or like a Golden melody
    • brands! The Special 20 beats the Golden Melody hands down (by Hohner), and it also beats the Pro Master (by Suzuki)
    • Very nice harp but not as easy to bend as the Golden Melody.
    • As a beginner the inability to bend is more likely to be my fault, but still, I am able to bend quite easily on the Golden Melody.
    • Superior to the Marine Band, the Golden Melody, and the Lee Oskar.
    • I would recommend the Golden Melody, the Blues Harp, and even the new Blue Midnight.
    • I like to carry one of these along with a Golden Melody
    • I was given a Golden Melody as a present but could not get the 7 draw to sound no matter how hard I drew.
    • I find myself bouncing between my Lee Oskar C and Hohner golden melody
    • As a beginner I'd suggest the Golden Melody as a first harp over this Special 20.
    • I've only been playing the harmonica for 2 months now after starting with a Hohner Golden Melody G that my mom gave me after my Dad passed away.
    • Bought as a gift for an up and coming musician - As a long time Hohner, Golden Melody player I can recommend the Special 20- Plastic comb - good quality
    • It is perfect for a beginner since it is not that difficult to blow and draw and bendings come easier than in the Golden Melody
    • Doesn't have quite the volume as the Golden Melody either.
    • You cannot go wrong with a special 20 also Love the Golden Melody
    • If you want a good Hohner, especially for Blues, get a Golden Melody, Crossover, or even a Big River.
    • (That's the only reason the Golden Melody comes in second for me.)
    • All of these are easier that the Golden Melody in general.
    • Though the tone of the Special Twenty is not quite as mellow as that of the Golden Melody, it is excellent for playing driving blues and rock and roll.
    • The title says "Minor C," which should mean the E (blow 2,5 and
    • Key of C first, then an A, D, G...enjoy!
