I found better edges to grip the clips to the second time, and make sure I wedged the springs as far in as they would go

Didn't fit my bricks because the mortar was flush with surface of my bricks and this device relies on gripping the edge of the brick to work.

The clips had sprung off the brick because I didn’t find bricks that had enough edge to grip, and the edges were slightly smoothed/curved, so the springs slid back up into their original position, and both clips came right off the wall

Our bricks were reclaimed so it was a challenge to find a nice flat edge that was wide enough and deep enough to really get good contact.

I’ve had these before and they work.... if your brickface has 1/4 “ top edge.

Make sure you measure your brick to get the right size and make sure you have a clean brick edge.

The hardest part was spending the time to find just the right locations with enough brick edge, close enough to where I wanted my art, in places where the other clip would also have enough brick edge to grip

Our bricks do not have perfectly sharp edges.
